Adeptus Mile High

Well met and Welcome to Adeptus Mile High!
This website is dedicated to the promotion of the The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, (LOTR SBG), produced by Games Workshop, (GW).
Unfortunately, as a result of GW’s organizational restructuring, the Denver area lost it’s GW store at the Colorado Mills earlier this year. And while there are pockets of LOTR players still enjoying our beloved game at independent hobby retailers throughout the Denver Metro area, there is no longer a centralized force dedicated to bringing the LOTR Community together by running Campaigns and Tournaments, etc. Our goal at Adeptus Mile High is just that: to provide the impetus needed to organize such events so that our community may continue to grow in both numbers of individuals playing as well enriching the gaming experience thereby taking the hobby to new levels, and putting Denver back on the map as a LOTR juggernaut!
How will this happen? By you, the LOTR enthusiasts, continuing to play the LOTR SBG at your local hobby stores, fielding well-conceived (and painted!) armies, and joining us as we begin to run Campaigns and Tournaments. Some more long-term goals include joining the Regional and National LOTR communities. Regionally, Colorado Springs, CO. and Fort Collins, CO. find themselves in a situation similar to that here in Denver. They, too are working on strengthening their respective local LOTR SBG community, and have expressed interest in participating in future events that we organize here in Denver.
Nationally, our goal to is to emulate the success of Adeptus Windy City and more recently Adeptus Arizona. These early Spring Independent LOTR GTs have been met with such success and enthusiasm, that they have been added to the ever-growing list of tournaments in the official Games-Workshop Tournament Circuit. Here in Denver, we already have two grand-scale Tournaments, namely Tacticon and Ghenghiscon. Either one of these events could easily serve as the backdrop upon which we could design and organize a Independent LOTR GT that would attract participants at the National Level.
So enough talk already! Take some time and peruse the rest of this Website. Join the Forums, and follow the Links. Most importantly, keep painting, and periodically check the Events page for upcoming Campaigns and Tournaments, both locally and nationally! And as always, Peace!
